PCAF, through education and service, prevents HIV infection, assists persons affected by HIV/AIDS, addresses related health problems, and combats associated stigma and discrimination.
The Pierce County AIDS Foundation (PCAF) is dedicated to assisting persons living with HIV/AIDS to meet their needs for food, housing, healthcare and personal support. PCAF provides personalized case management services to people living with HIV/AIDS and extensive outreach/education/prevention programming to help stop the spread of HIV and combat HIV related stigma.
Every AHAT resident must undergo client intake and has a medical case manager through PCAF. The case manager and AHAT work together to provide direct assistance to residents.
