AHAT provides housing and enriched services for those who are in medical transition and those who are seriously ill. Our target population is low income and homeless people over the age of 18 with an AIDS diagnosis. Our residents need help with day-to-day tasks due to disability or illness.
Some services provided for our residents include:
- medical assistance,
- medical transportation,
- hands-on care,
- medication management.
We connect our residents to mental health and substance abuse treatment as needed.
Our residences maintain a family-like, communal environment among clients, staff and guests. We believe this environment reduces stress and translates to better physical and emotional health.
Staff and volunteers also provide grocery and personal shopping services, clothing, meal preparation, laundry service and transportation to social activities.
