Since AHAT was founded, our goal was to provide safe, alternative housing for people with HIV/AIDS in Pierce and Kitsap counties. Three Cedars, a 24/7 care facility, remains the only facility of its kind from King County to the Oregon border. Since opening in 1990, it has provided special needs assisted living and housing for over 250 HIV/AIDS residents.
Three Cedars residents receive:
- medical assistance,
- medication management,
- active daily living assistance,
- medical services, and,
- informal counseling.
Today, almost two-thirds of our residents return their community after stabilizing their health and achieving medical adherence.
