Project Open Door

In 2005, we launched Project Open Door. This program focuses on moving chronically homeless individuals into safe, affordable housing in Tacoma and Fircrest.

Through Project Open Door residents receive:

• intensive case management
• chemical dependency group support
• life-skill training
• mental health services
• nutritional education
  ​

Today, AHAT oversees the daily operations of Project Open Door. This program is part of the continuum of care for homelessness in Pierce County.
